Apple OS X Mountain Lion 10.8 review

Things are looking good for Apple in 2012, reaching 3 million downloads soon after the release. This makes OS X Mountain Lion the most successful desktop release in the history of Apple. The company also sold 26 million iPhones, 4 million Macs, 6.8 million iPods and 17 million iPads during the third quarter.

New Features

The ninth version on OS X adds more than 200 new features to Apples desktop operating system. The spotlight shins on a few major additions but OS X 10.8 includes numerous small tweaks which will make the Apple experience ever more pleasant.

iCloud

iCould integrates all you Apple devices with wireless capabilities. After loging in with your Apple ID on a Mac or iOS device any change you make on any other device where you are logged into iCloud will be syncronized.

Notes

Perfectly integrated with iCloud, Notes offers a good alternative to Evernote.

Reminders

Reminders, also integrated wit iCloud, offers the option to create multiple lists. You can view this lists on you iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.

Messages

Messages is one of the features highly anticipated by most OS X users. You now have the possibility of chatting with all of your contacts on iOS devices and you also have the option to connect to you Google Talk account and chat right from the messages app.

Notification Center

Notification center displays e-mail alerts, new message alerts, software updates and information from other application which you will grant access to.

Of course OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion has many more new features but this will be all i will cover in this review.

Overview

Overall, even though this is not a major redesign like the one Microsoft is approaching with its new Windows release, OX S 10.8 Mountain lion is worth the investment.
