The New Apple Ads Aired During the Opening Ceremony of the 2012 Olympics Criticised by Media

The new Apple ads campaign aired during the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympics have received a lot of criticism from the media.

The new Apple ads are supposed to be aimed at first time users but the negative part, according to the online chatter, is that it scares away existing Apple customers.

The ads focus on the Apple Genius helping out totally incompetent users, implying that you have to be a genius to manage to work with "the most intuitive software".

In case you haven't had the "pleasure" here is a preview.

Sad to see Apple taking this path considering that they got all this right some time ago. Remember the great "I'm a Mac. And I'm a PC" adds? Those were also aimed at new users but managed to give existing Apple customers a totally different feeling.

Here are some of the good ones.
